BOONE COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -
Three men were arrested for drug trafficking Saturday in Northern Kentucky.
Agents from the Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force and Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations, assisted by agents and task force officers from the DEA Cincinnati Resident Office, executed two search warrants in Boone County.
Officials say the warrants were part of a joint cocaine and heroin investigation.
SWAT teams from the Boone County Sheriff's Department and Florence Police Department were utilized to enter the residence, which were mobile homes in the 200 block of Melinda Lane and the 100 block of Patty Lane, according to officials.
Officials say SWAT teams were utilized at both homes, because officials say that information gained over the course of the investigation led investigators to believe that the suspects would be armed.
Agents arrested Mecko Williams, 36; Fernando Pedraza, 21; and Sergio Pedraza, 22, all of Florence, Ky. All three are charged with trafficking in cocaine. Williams was additionally charged with trafficking heroin and possession of a handgun.
