LINCOLN HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) -

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and Lincoln Heights officials struck a deal that will provide public safety services to residents of Lincoln Heights.

Sheriff Jim Neil will join Mayor LaVerne Mitchell to formally announce the partnership Monday evening at the Lincoln Heights Administration Building.

A lapse in insurance coverage last October forced Lincoln Heights police and fire departments to shut down.

The fire department reopened after several days, but the police force has remained disbanded. The county has acted as the primary police enforcement in the area.

Details of the new agreement will be made public at the 6 p.m. press conference. Stay with FOX19NOW.com for updates.
