Clermont County installed Purple Heart parking spaces to several buildings over the past week.
The idea was inspired by a former Marine and current Sheriff's Deputy, Danny Ruck.
Ruck was injured in an explosion during his stint in Afghanistan in 2009.
The signs were put up at several locations including the Administration Building, Municipal Court, Clermont Family Support Center and Heritage Building, which houses the Veterans Service Commission.
Howard Daugherty, the Executive Director of the Veterans Service Commission, said he is proud to have Purple Heart spaces in front of his building.
"It's a great gesture showing our respect for those who have Purple Hearts, and shows our commitment to veterans," Daugherty said.
Clermont County Commissioner Bob Proud says he hopes for more businesses in the area to order the signs.
