SPRINGFIELD TWP, OH (FOX19) -

A Hamilton County judge slapped a witness intimidation suspect with a $1 million bond Wednesday.

Demetrius Railey, 34, is on trial in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court for allegedly pistol-whipping a homeowner during a 2013 Springfield Township residential break-in and robbery.

He faces two counts of aggravated burglary and one count each of  aggravated robbery, possessing criminal tools, having weapons while under disability, carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

After an appearance in court on the case Monday, the crime victim told authorities he overheard Railey threatened to kill the him and other victims and witnesses.

"Ever since this crime happened to me I have not been the same," the victim wrote in a sworn statement filed with the court. "By him saying that reminds me of them beating me with his guns. I know it's possible for him to take my life."

Springfield Township police said a total of five people came down to the station to sign sworn statements about the alleged threat.

Railey now faces two counts of witness intimidation.

He is held at the Hamilton County jail.  A grand jury will decide whether to indict him on the new charges next month.
