CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

A Cincinnati man faces federal charges alleging he possessed child pornography while residing at a local treatment facility.

Chad Mullins, 31, had at least 300 child porn images on his cell phone, court documents state. The cell phone also contained “several web searches made using terms indicative of child porn,” according to an affidavit filed Monday.

Mullins, who was placed at the Talbert House as part of a post-release control, allegedly showed other residents of the treatment facility the pornographic photos.

Talbert House is a non-profit network that includes community corrections, mental health, and substance abuse programs. Officials at the facility were made aware of the graphic images in December and contacted authorities.

Documents state Mullins initially denied knowledge of the photos when questioned by investigators, but eventually admitted he had accessed child pornography on the phone.

Mullins is charged with child pornography possession and will appear in federal court on Jan. 30.
