COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

Two men have been arrested and charged with selling fake tickets to the Elton John concert on Feb. 27 at U.S. Bank Arena.

Covington police say that Bennie Bowman and Kenneth Hutson were selling the tickets on craigslist.

A man bought the two tickets for $200 a piece for his fiancé.

Officials say she was not convinced that tickets were legit and made some calls. She contacted Covington police who agreed to meet with the woman and her fiancé at the Covington Frisch's to pick up the tickets.

Police then confronted the suspects and arrested them.

The two had several other copies of the same tickets they were also trying to sell, police said.

Bowman and Hutson are charged with theft by deception and possession of forged instruments(the tickets). Bowman also faces several drug charges, he is in the Kenton County Jail. Hutson was released on bond.
