Xavier falls to Seton Hall, 90-82

The Xavier Musketeers could not make it back-to-back road wins Saturday, losing to Seton Hall 90-82.

The Musketeers struggled all afternoon from deep shooting only 1-19 from the three-point line.

In a game that featured 50 total fouls including six technicals, Seton Hall was able to put Xavier away from the free throw line in the second half. The Pirates scored their final 13 points from the charity stripe.

Seton Hall was led by Sterling Gibbs' 22 points and eight assists. Freshman guard Isaiah Whitehead added 19 points in the win.

Xavier was also led by a freshman. Trevon Bluiett scored in double figures for the third straight game with 19.

The loss drops Xavier back to .500 in Big East play at 5-5.

Up next for the Musketeers is a home game against Creighton Wednesday night, at 9 p.m. Xavier is 12-0 inside the Cintas Center this season.
