HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -
A narcotics task force is investigating a City of Hamilton couple after two small children were found inside a home filled with heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana.
Butler County police responded to a home in the 800 block of Greenwood Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday to execute a search warrant.
When police arrived, inside the home were Albert M. Givens, 28, Shannon Ross, 33, and two small children.
“There were 2 young children in this filthy home, present during the search warrant, and obviously close to the drugs. I don't get how illegal drugs are more important than your kid's lives,” said Sheriff Richard K. Jones.
Givens has been charged with multiple felony trafficking charges and Ross is facing charges of permitting drug abuse and child endangering. They are both being held at the Butler County Jail.
The case is still under investigation by the Butler County Regional Narcotics Taskforce as more charges are pending
