AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -
The Cincinnati Fire Department is investigating a structure fire that broke out in Avondale on the corner of Crown Street and Essex Street at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Heavy fire was reported from the first floor of a large multi-dwelling, authorities said.
Officials say the building was vacant and firefighters had difficulty getting into the building because of security mesh on the windows.
Authorities say one firefighter suffered a minor burn and was treated on site. The fire was knocked down in 30 minutes and caused an estimated $15,000 worth of damage.
