LOCKLAND, OH (FOX19) -

A suspect is accused of breaking an 75-year-old woman's arm during a robbery outside her home, Lockland police said.

The victim was shoved to the ground as she carried groceries she had just purchased into her Washington Avenue home Jan. 8.

Police say a female suspect stole the woman's purse and sped off in a silver vehicle. She used the victim's credit cards to make unauthorized purchases starting just a half hour later at two gas stations and then a liquor store in Roselawn and Covington.

Investigators linked Melissa Louise Silva, 30, to the crimes through her image on security camera video taken from the businesses, court records show.

Silva, of Lower Price Hill, at the Hamilton County jail on charges of felonious assault and aggravated robbery.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and is back home recovering.
