Snarky tweet gets teen fired before even starting job

FOX19 -

A Texas boss spotted a soon-to-be employee complaining on Twitter about her new job and fired her before she even started the first day.

“Ew I start this f*** a** job tomorrow,” Twitter user @cellla_ tweeted last week. She was set to start the new gig at Jet's Pizzeria the next day, outlets say.

Jet's manager Robert Waple replied to the tweet shortly after with “And...no you don't start that job today! I just fired you! Good luck with your no money, no job life!"

A Jet's employee alerted Waple of @cella_'s snarky tweet, prompting him log on to twitter for the first time in six years simply to fire the girl, Fox reports.

She didn't seem too shamed by the public firing. She tweeted “I got fired over twitter,” shortly after the incident.

The girl has gained thousands of twitter followers and prompted a viral debate with commenters taking sides with @cella_ or the manager. Both of their original tweets have been deleted.
