FOX19 - Dollar sales of liquor reached an all-time high in Ohio last year, according to the Ohio Department of Commerce.

The report states that in 2014 a total of $949 million was spent on spirituous liquor, an increase of 5.6 percent from 2013.

Ohio customers appear to be trading up to more premium items. The report states that premium and super premium priced products combined for approximately 60 percent of total dollar sales.

The total amount of liquor consumed also increased, but at a lower rate than dollar sales. In 2014, Ohioans consumed 12.6 million gallons of liquor, a three percent increase from 2013.

What liquor does Ohio consume the most? The answer is Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. The buckeye state drank 364,060 gallons of the whiskey last year.
