Fatal single-car accident in Colerain Twp.

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Officials are investigating a single-car crash that left the driver dead in Colerain Township.

The fatal accident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-275 near Colerain Ave. around 3:30 Sunday morning.

Officials say a Honda was traveling westbound and failed to maintain control, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree.  The driver was killed instantly.  

The driver was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash, police said. The vehicle returns to a subject in Sunman, Ind. 

According to officials, the driver of the vehicle, Stephanie Schroeder, 30,  had a North Carolina driver's license and was not registered to the car in the crash. Her last known place of living was Bright, Ind.

Schroeder's parents live in North Carolina and have been notified.
