NORTH FAIRMOUNT, OH (FOX19) -

Snow and ice-covered roads delayed the city's response to a shooting Monday night.

Police and an ambulance were called Brestel Road near Arthur Place about 9:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting, but the ambulance was unable to drive up the hill on Brestel Road.

A snowplow was sent to clear Brestel Road and salt it, but the snowplow slid off the road and got stuck of the hill.

A wrecker had to come pull the snowplow out.

Meanwhile, the victim walked down the hill and went to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

His name was not released, but he is expected to recover.

A suspect was taken into custody, but it's not clear what charges that person faces.

Police did not respond to requests for more information overnight.

FOX19 NOW will keep working to update this story.
