The Tri-State is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 5 p.m. with 2 to 3 inches expected for most areas. Communities south and east of metro Cincinnati will see the most accumulation.
Most school districts are operating on delays or have shut down due to the weather.
Several counties including Hamilton and Boone issued a Level 1 snow emergencies until further notice. Roads are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. They also may be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.
Once the snow ends this afternoon, a Wind Chill Advisory will be in effect 4 p.m. until noon Friday. Wind chills over the next couple of days could fall as low as minus 26 degrees.
