Erlanger Police ID man killed I-75 crash

ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) -

The driver killed Wednesday in an Interstate 75 accident has been identified by Erlanger Police.

James Wolfinbarger, 51, crashed his Chevrolet pickup truck into the back of a semi-tractor trailer parked in the southbound emergency lane near Buttermilk Pike.

The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. and shut down the right lanes of the interstate for several hours.

Wolfinbarger succumbed to his injuries at St. Elizabeth Medical Center shortly after the crash, officials report.

The Erlanger police collision reconstruction unit continues to investigate the incident and say no criminal charges have been filed.
