A Wind Chill Warning is in effect until noon on Thursday. Winds will gust up to 35 mph and fall as low as minus 15 to minus 25.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been extended for the entire Tri-State until 7 p.m. after heavy snow and bitter cold temperatures snarled morning rush hour.
The advisory was supposed to expire at noon, but the National Weather Service extended it several times throughout the day. Snow squalls, falling temperatures, gusty winds and snow drifting in rural areas are expected.The following counties are under the Wind Chill Warning:
- Fayette, Union, Franklin, Ripley, Dearborn, Ohio and Switzerland in Indiana.
- Gallatin, Boone, Owen, Grant, Kenton, Campbell, Pendleton, Bracken, Robertson and Mason in Kentucky.
- Butler, Hamilton, Clermont, Warren, Clinton, Brown, Highland and Adams in Ohio
