HEBRON, KY (FOX19) -

Frontier Airlines is expected on Monday to make a major expansion announcement at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Frontier will announce two routes to Atlanta and Fort Meyers along with significant expansion to existing destinations.

Frontier became CVG's first low-cost carrier in more than a decade when the airline launched one daily nonstop flight to its Denver hub in May 2013. The route's success opened the door for Frontier to expand at CVG.

It hasn't been all growth. The airline has discontinued its non-stop flights to the Philadelphia region from CVG.

Frontier's Flying Bucks Frenzy will also be hosted Monday on the ticketing level at CVG.

As a thank you to the strong support shown from the community, Frontier will have a “cash cube” on site filled with Frontier's Flying Bucks. Participants will start with their hands on top of their head.

Participants can collect as many Frontier Flying Bucks as possible and stuff them into a Finn Cinch Sac before the time stops. Only Frontier Flying Bucks inside the Finn Cinch Sac are counted towards final prize award.

The participant will be emailed a voucher worth the Flying Bucks collected. If you are interested in participating, please arrive at the airport at 10 am. Frontier's Flying Bucks Frenzy will run for about an hour and accommodate as many people as possible.

In 2014, Frontier and Allegiant Air helped the Boone County airport experience an annual increase in total passengers for the first time in nearly ten years.

CVG officials point out the airport offers more nonstop flights than any airport in the region, including direct international service to Paris, Toronto, Cancun, Montego Bay and Punta Cana.
