OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) -

A local man has filed a lawsuit against the LA Fitness in Oakley Monday.

Mohammed Fall filed the complaint and accuses the Oakley gym of not letting him, a Muslim member, pray in the locker room. He's been working out at the LA Fitness for a year.

"He's been a member of LA fitness for over a year, has been after every time that he's there after his workout routine he goes and quietly says his muslim prayers in a corner of a locker room. After doing that for a year the end of last month, 3 guys came up to him, interrupted him in the middle of his prayers and told him he could never pray there again," said Fall's attorney Tim Burke.

Burke says it's a violation of the US public accommodations law and are asking the federal court to prohibit LA Fitness from stopping him from praying.

Fall was born in Senegal and is an athlete. He graduated from Western Hills High School and went on to play basketball for two christian colleges.
