GOODYEAR, AZ (FOX19) -

Joey Votto suffered through his worst season as a Cincinnati Red in 2014. A chronic knee injury caused Votto to miss 100 games.

The former MVP hit .255, 55 points under his lifetime average in the MLB, in the 62 games he played.

Fan frustration grew throughout the season as the Reds finished fourth in the National League Central with a record of 76-86.

Many believe a healthy Votto, who can return to his 2010 MVP form, will go a long way to the Reds finishing at the top of the division in 2015.
