EAST PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) -

Upgraded charges could be filed as soon as Thursday for a man accused of gunning down his ex-girlfriend earlier this month after she died Wednesday.

Antonio Colson, 36, is held on $250,000 cash bond at the Hamilton County jail. He was indicted earlier this week on one count of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault.

Cincinnati police said Colson shot Brittany Coop of East Price Hill several times in the neck and chest Feb. 11 on Maryland Avenue.

She was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she died.

Colson fled the scene, but was arrested on Feb. 17.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on the indictments March 6.
