Homeless Shelters

Homeless shelters fill up as mercury drops

As temperatures drop below zero in many parts of Ohio, the state's homeless shelters are filling up. Steve Knight coordinates the shelter team at Cincinnati's Drop Inn Center. He says it's too cold for people to even think about staying outside. Knight says the Drop Inn Center won't turn anyone away but clients may have to spend the night on benches or the floor if the rest of the shelter is full.

Overnight lows in Cincinnati were right around zero degrees last night.
