BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

A trial date has been set for a man accused of murdering an elderly woman in 2012.

Daniel French, 56, will stand trial on Nov. 2 for the murder of Barbara Howe.

According to court documents, French used false pretenses to gain access of Howe's residence in the Mount Pleasant Retirement Village.

Prosecutors said after killing Howe, French stuffed Howe's body in the trunk of her car on Nov. 1, 2012.

He is charged with aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

French has pled not guilty to the charges despite prospectors saying he previously admitted to the crime. If convicted, French could face the death penalty.
