WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) -
The Butler County Coroner says human remains found in West Chester belong to a woman who most likely died within the past six months.
Hikers came across a human skull last Saturday in a wooded area near Tylersville and Cincinnati-Dayton roads. Crews responded and found several other bones in the area.
The woman was white with medium brown hair and stood 5' 3”, according to Butler County Coroner Lisa K. Mannix. She wore full upper and lower dentures.
The coroners says evidence collected in the area suggests the woman was wearing a white, short sleeved pullover shirt with red and blue horizontal stripes, size 12 faded glory brand blue jeans and black SAS brand shoes.
Two pairs of eyeglasses, gloves, a water bottle and a denim cloth bag were found in the area, but officials say the items are not necessarily associated with the case.
