ANDERSON TWP, OH (FOX19) -

Forest Hills School District has equipped every school inside the district with a new tip line that allows students to share information with law enforcement officials.

The tip line, called SaferOH, allows students and adults to share information regarding threats to school safety, bullying, violence and suicides. The callers can remain anonymous or share contact information for a possible follow-up.

"The safety and well-being of our students and staff is a priority," said John Eckert, the district's climate and culture coordinator. "Our goal is for all students to achieve high academic standards within a safe learning environment."

Individuals can contact the tip line by calling or texting 844-SaferOH (844-723-3764). The calls or texts will be received by the Ohio Homeland Security's Threat Assessment and Prevention Unit. The unit will immediately forward the information to the district officials and local law enforcement.
