Westwood homicide victim riddled with bullets

WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

A 23-year-old man was riddled with bullets in the city's latest homicide late Monday.

Eric Scroggins of Westwood was found down on the ground and suffering from several gunshot wounds outside his car on Epworth Avenue near Hope Lane about 10 p.m., Cincinnati police said.

He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

His name and exact age will be released Tuesday.

No arrests have been made and police have not released a motive.

Scroggins has been on probation following convictions for drug trafficking and having weapons while under disability, Hamilton County court records show. He also has been convicted of drug possession.
