WEST END, OH (FOX19) -

A mother is accused of leaving her two small children home alone with a gun and bullets in reach.

Kiarra Robinson, 25, is held at the Hamilton County jail on a child endangering charge.

According to court records, she left her children, 8 and 5, dropping her children at school around 7 a.m. Monday and didn't see them the rest of the day.

Cincinnati police found the youngsters in the family's Lockhurst Lane residence alone just after midnight Tuesday. A handgun was in an unlocked case on the floor with bullets nearby.

It was not clear where Robinson was or how her children got home from school.

She is scheduled to face a judge at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
