Devon Still re-resigned with the Cincinnati Bengals Thursday after becoming a free agent last week when his former contract expired.

Still said his decision to re-sign for 2015 was driven by recent medical tests that show his daughter Leah's condition to be significantly improved. Leah was diagnosed last year with Stage 4 neuroblastoma, a rare form of pediatric cancer.

Earlier this week, Still announced the latest scans of Leah showed no active cancer in her 4-year-old body.

“Now that it looks like things are headed on the right path, I'm ready to go back and play football,” Still said.

The Defensive Tackle has played in 30 Bengals games since being drafted by Cincinnati in 2012

“It's great to have Devon back with us,” said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis. “We know it has been a very difficult journey for him the last year. Devon remains focused on Leah's recovery and on furthering his NFL career, and we're excited to be able to provide that opportunity.”

"Congrats to Devon Still on signing his contract with the Bengals," Still's agent Drew Rosenhaus posted on his Twitter feed. "It has truly been a special week for you and your family."
