Middletown skydiving team's plane makes emergency landing on South Carolina road

A Middletown professional skydiving team had to make an emergency landing on a road in northern South Carolina Thursday night.

FOX Carolina reports the single-engine plane landed along side a highway in Wellford, S.C. because the plane had engine trouble. The pilot said they were headed to the Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston when they had engine trouble and attempted to land at Greenville-Spartanburg Airport, but had to make an emergency landing on the highway.  The pilot said he was able to land without touching any trees.

According to the AP, five people from Team Fastrax were on board the Cessna 206 when it landed and no injuries were reported.
