Former UC quarterback found not guilty of assault

Former University of Cincinnati quarterback, Jarred Evans, was found not guilty of assault charges for an incident that happened last October.

Evans was accused of punching a man in the 300 block of Calhoun Street on Oct. 18, 2014.

A jury ruled unanimously on Monday that Evans did not commit a crime and will not serve any jail time.

The former quarterback was dismissed from the team following the charges. FOX19 NOW reached out to the University of Cincinnati football team for Evans' reinstatement status. The team said the it is still gathering information and would not comment.
