Xavier University's head men's basketball coach Chris Mack had his contract extended Wednesday.
Mack's contract is extended through 2020-2021.
"Xavier is a special place and the support from the entire Xavier Community and my hometown of Cincinnati is overwhelming," Mack said.
Mack became head coach in 2009 after Sean Miller took the head coaching job at the University of Arizona.
Since 2009, Mack has led the Musketeers to three Sweet Sixteen appearances in the NCAA men's basketball tournament. His overall record with Xavier is 134-71.
"We have lofty goals for our program...as both an alumnus and the head coach, I am excited about the challenges ahead," Mack said.
