NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

A homeless man is accused of trying to rape a woman in a laundromat restroom.

Jerry Beach, 51, was booked into the Hamilton County jail Wednesday night on one count of rape.

He walked in on a woman Wednesday while she was washing her hands at a sink in the bathroom at Norwood Super Laundry off Allison Street near Sherman Avenue, court records show.

He ordered her to get on the floor, but she tried to run off. He grabbed her by her neck and "told me I can scream all I want and no one will hear me," she wrote in a sworn statement.

She was able to push past him and run for help.

A Hamilton County judge on Thursday set Beach's bond at $100,000.
