Services announced for retired officer hit and killed while leading funeral procession

FOREST PARK, OH (FOX19) -

 Funeral services will held next week for a retired police officer hit and killed while leading a funeral procession last week.

Visitation for retired Forest Park police Officer George Brooks will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 10 at Thompson Hall Jordan Funeral Home, 11400 Winton Rd.

His funeral will be 10 a.m. April 11 at World of Deliverance Church, 683 Fresno Rd.

Graveside service will follow 10 a.m. April 13 at Greenlawn Cemetery, 687 U.S. Highway 50, Milford.

Brooks, 63, died late Sunday after he was struck and critically injured while leading a funeral procession Saturday in the West End.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

No charges have been filed.
