MONTGOMERY, OH (FOX19) -
A teen driver faces several charges after police say he led them on a chase that ended when he crashed into a cruiser Sunday night.
Lord McDade, 19, of West Chester, is held at the Hamilton County jail on one count each of felonious assault, resisting arrest, failure to obey a police order and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, jail records show.
His bond was set Monday at $32,5000.
Montgomery police tried to stop McDade's 2001 black Ford Expedition after observing him make a minor traffic violation on Montgomery Road near the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway about 8:10 p.m., court records show.
Instead of pulling over, he took off, fleeing north on I-71 at 63 mph, just over the 55 mph speed limit.
The pursuit ended when his vehicle slammed into a Madeira police cruiser.
The officer was not hurt. McDade suffered minor facial injuries.
Police drew his blood to measure his level of intoxication. Test results will be back in about a month.
