Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for most of the Tri-State until 6 p.m.

Strong storms are moving in form the West and could bring lightning, hail, gusty winds and localized flooding.

The northern areas of Butler and Warren county are under a severe thunderstorm warning. Storms will spread to the rest of the Tri-State around 11 a.m.

The entire Tri-State is under a slight risk for severe weather as more storms develop into the afternoon and evening.

By late Friday high pressure noses into the region with dry, cooler, and pleasant conditions for the weekend. Rain returns for the beginning of the next work week
