SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A semi-trailer truck carrying mulch overturned and pinned the driver inside in Symmes Township Friday.

The accident happened northbound on the 7600 block of Glendale-Milford Rd at around 1:28 p.m.

According to Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil, Michael Flor, 45, of Monroe, was traveling a tractor trailer northbound on Glendale-Milford Road, attempting to negotiate a left bound curve. When Flor's vehicle entered into the curve, he lost control of the vehicle and the truck overturned.

Officials say the man was trapped for about 30 minutes before being extricated by Loveland-Symmes Fire and E.M.S. He was flown to University of Cincinnati Hospital by Air Care where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Flor was using his seat belt at the time of the crash. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.

Glendale-Milford Road was shut down in both directions for approximately three hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
