CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

An early morning water main break closed an intersection near University of Cincinnati Medical Center until further notice.

The 3:20 a.m. break will keep Eden Avenue and Albert Sabin Way shut down for eight hours Monday or up to three days, said Diana Maria Lara, a hospital spokeswoman.

Water that seeped into the Holmes Building lobby already has been cleaned up, she said. Water supply inside the building is not impacted, but traffic delays are expected.

Patients with appointments Monday morning are being contacted to reschedule. Other patients with appointments Monday afternoon and beyond who may be uncertain about an appointment should contact their medical provider directly, Lara said.

The Holmes Building serves as the main patient office for the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as an outpatient office for the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery.

Cincinnati Water Works crews are on scene.
