CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

A Make-a-Wish campaign gets underway Tuesday to help grant  wishes of Tri-State children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Through the 'Air Miles Drive,' frequent fliers are encouraged to donate Delta or United Airlines miles. You'll just need your mileage account information to give to designated Make-A-Wish volunteers.

"Airline travel actually makes up 80 percent of our expenses at Make-A-Wish," said Sophia Morton, vice president of program services for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana. "By simply donating frequent flier miles, you can help local kids and their families experience a once in a lifetime wish come true."

The minimum donation is only 500 miles for United and 1,000 miles for Delta.

To donate, you can call the volunteer phone bank at 1-877-206-9474. It's open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14. Or, go to oki.wish.org/content/air-miles-drive.
