A Mount Lookout man is expected to face a judge Wednesday on charges of stealing more than 100 school bus batteries over a five-month period.
In a crime police say was captured on surveillance video, Christopher Sumner, 33, is accused of taking the batteries from First Student bus company on Morse Street in Linwood.
He sold the devices, which are worth thousands of dollars, at American Compressed Steel Corp. in Hartwell, court records show.
Sumner is held without bond at the Hamilton County jail on several counts of breaking and entering and one count of disrupting public services.
