WAYNE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A 42-year-old man died in a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Trenton-Oxford and Jacksonburg roads this week.

James Wilson of Camden was pronounced dead at the scene just after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

The driver of a 2000 Dodge Caravan traveling southbound on Jacksonburg Road ran the stop sign at Trenton-Oxford Road, sheriff's investigators said.

The Dodge slammed into Wilson's 2002 Toyota 4 Runner, pushing him across the center lane into the eastbound lane, where a 2006 semi tractor-trailer slammed into the side of his vehicle.

The driver of the Dodge, Leah Eve, 26, and the semi driver, Cary Thayn, 48, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not said if speed, alcohol or driver inattention due to texting are factors.
