Driver dies in Clermont County crash

MONROE TOWNSHIP (Clermont County, OH) -

A driver is dead after a vehicle slammed into a tree in Clermont County late Wednesday.

Alexander J. Cummins, 25, of Cincinnati lost control of his westbound vehicle at a curve in the 2900 block of Lindale-Mt Holly near Leeds roads, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

His 1996 Chevy Impala SS ran off the left side of the road, struck a tree and flipped onto its top. 

AirCare was sent to fly him to a hospital, but he was pronounced dead at the scene around 7 p.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. He wore a seatbelt,, troopers said.
