Local all-female Honor Flight first of its kind in nation

HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - A local all-female Honor Flight will be among the first of its kind in the nation.

The non-profit organization Honor Flight Tri-State says the Sept. 22 event will honor America's veterans of World War II, Korean and Vietnam wars and all who served either statewide or overseas.

The women will fly free from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to visit memorials in Washington D.C. 

Senior veterans over the age of 65 will have top priority. They will be accompanied by younger veterans under the age of 40 acting as their guardians.

All participants must apply online or by calling 513-277– 9626 for a paper application.
