Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones terminated the deputy who is accused of a sex crime involving a minor.

Michael Baker is accused of inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old Hamilton girl. He was ordered Thursday to stay away from the teen.

He was terminated Thursday afternoon from employment with the sheriff's office and no longer has any type of arrest or police powers. Baker faces one count of sexual imposition, a third-degree misdemeanor.

“I am angry and disgusted," Jones said Tuesday. "This will absolutely not be tolerated and I will work directly with the Butler County Prosecutor's Office to make sure justice is served."

Baker will next appear May 21 in Butler County Area I Court.
