Reds slam Brewers, 16-10

The Cincinnati Reds used five home runs, including two grand slams, to defeat the Milwaukee Brewers 16-10 Tuesday night.

The Reds got the the offensive barrage going in the third. After a Joey Votto single and Todd Frazier walk with two outs, Brewers' third baseman Jason Rogers committed a throwing error to load the bases. The error paved the way to the Reds' first grand slam. Jay Bruce sent a no-doubter to right-center field.

Todd Frazier continued the scoring in the fourth with another grand slam. Cozart added two homers, one in the fifth and one in the seventh. The two home runs tied the amount (4) Cozart had all of 2014.

Votto followed trend as Cozart, homering in the sixth and tying his total (6) in 2014.

Reds starter, Jason Marquis, went five innings, giving up five earned runs and nine hits. The maligned bullpen gave up five runs in four innings of work.

Tuesday night marked the first time since 1999 the Reds hit two grand slams in a game.
