UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati police said they responded to two separate shootings in two neighborhoods within minutes of each other Thursday morning.

Both victims are expected to recover.

A man was found shot in the stomach in the 2800 block of West McMicken Street about 10:30 a.m.

He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

A motive in the attack remains under investigation.

A few minutes earlier, a bullet grazed the foot of a 48-year-old man during a home invasion robbery in the 5800 block of Hawaiian Terrace in Mt. Airy, police said.

The man refused medical treatment.

He was selling soda pop, candy and other items out of his apartment, police said, when two men pushed the door open and tried to rob him at gunpoint.

He was shot when he struggled with the suspects, who ran off and remain at large.
