Police: Man rescued from creek after fleeing accident

GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A man was rescued from a creek after fleeing from a car accident Sunday in Green Township. 

Police say the the driver fled his vehicle after crashing it into a pole on Sheed Road at around 8:25 p.m.  After fleeing the accident, the man ran into a creek near the Harrison Road exit off Interstate 74.

According to officials, the man had to be rescued from the creek. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police did not released a name.

No word on charges.
