Man critical in South Fairmount shooting

SOUTH FAIRMONT, OH (FOX19) -

 A 35-year-old man is fighting for his life after he was shot once in the back early Tuesday.

The victim was shot outside an apartment building off Harrison Avenue near Hansford Place about 1 a.m.,said Lt. Tim Brown, Cincinnati police's night chief.

The man ran into the building and collapsed.

He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he is undergoing surgery and listed in critical condition, Brown said.

Police are still investigating what led up to the shooting. 

No arrests have been made.
