SPRINGDALE, OH (FOX19) -

Coco Key Water Resort has a stop order in place for the water park, according to the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

Department of Agriculture's Chief Inspector, Mike Vartorella, said the Stop Operation Order was put in place last Friday when an inspection showed the water disinfection system was broken.

Water features at the Sharonville water park will be closed until the park installs the necessary equipment to fix the system and request an inspection by the Department of Agriculture said Vartorella.

The water park displayed a sign on its door stating the closure is due to a “unforeseen mechanical issue.”

The park's disinfection systems for full-body contact aquatic devices have been partially broken since February said the Department of Agriculture. The latest inspection showed the systems are not functioning at all.

Hamilton County Department of Health Public Information Officer, Mike Salmon, said CoCo Key had some bedbug and pool complaints recently, but nothing egregious.

The pool in the spa and hotel portions of the resort have not shut down. Those portions are regulated by Hamilton County Department of Health.
