ELMWOOD PLACE, OH (FOX19) -

Two parents are under arrest after police found their two small children wandering outside near a train as the couple slept.

Weston Pfierman, 25 and Alicia Caudill, both 25, are held on child endangerment charges at the Hamilton County jail. They are expected to face a judge Friday.

According to court documents, an officer spotted the 2-year-old and 5-year-old alone on a sidewalk on Hasler Lane near 66th Street Thursday.

The children were near a railroad crossing with a train approaching, the road and a power plant.

When police went to the family's apartment, they found the parents asleep and the front door open.
