Three people displaced in Westwood duplex fire

WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

Officials say a child with a lighter is the cause of a Westwood duplex fire that officials responded to Sunday morning.

The fire broke out on High Point Ave. near Wardall Ave. around 11:45 a.m.

According to the Cincinnati Fire Department, smoke was coming out of the second floor when first responders arrived at the scene. Crews were able to contain the fire to the kitchen on the second floor.

Three people were displaced, officials said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze.

Investigators estimate about $40,000 worth of damage.
